Not since I discovered http://www.bookmooch.com
Do you have much luck with it? I've been tempted to join up, but have to go through the boxes in my basement to find stuff I'd want to give away. I have some sort of sentimental attachment (packrat-ism) when it comes to books I really enjoy, and can't seem to hand them over.
I've had great luck. I've probably received over 200 books in the last year. I'm looking forward to summer vacation when I can park my butt on the deck with a stack of good books and a coffee (or 2 or 3).
I use my card twice a month and take out four books each time. I love going to the Library and wandering along the shelves deciding what to take home. I also love reading. Just about anything.
I go to the library ALL the time, at least once a week. And an extra perk of having a card... I get to access HeritageQuest and other databases from my home computer.
Cool. My library lets me access Ebscohost databases and a slew of others. It would be worth keeping my library card updated even if online databases were the only things I did with it.
I use the library all the time. For new releases or any book that isn't on the shelf, I can order online and they email me when the book is in for pick up.
